A measure of a country’s reserve assets in the international monetary system.The International Monetary Fund created SDRs in 1969，originally used as a replacement for gold and silver.Today they are commonly used for a number of accounting purposes.The value of an SDR is determined by the exchange rate of the currencies contained in the SDR.Also called paper gold.
