the general purpose of an audit certificate is to give to the commission reasonable assurance that eligible costs（and，if relevant，the receipts）charged under the project are calculated and claimed by the contractors in accordance with the relevant legal and financial provisions of the FP6legal texts，including contractual provisions.Independent certification of the costs incurred and claimed under the project for a given period.An audit certificate is not to be confused with an audit which the commission may launch at any time and up to 5years after the end of the project.
